Mr. Zemin (Joe) Hu

Joe is a serial entrepreneur. In 2004, Joe was the CFO of NetDragon, a leading company specializing in online games and mobile internet-related projects. He took the company to IPO in 2007 in Hong Kong. From 2008, he served as the CEO and Executive Director of 91 Wireless, China’s most influential smartphone service platform. In 2013, under Joe’s facilitation, the company was sold to Baidu for USD 1.9 Billion.
Joe founded MFund in 2015, an early-stage venture capital fund that focuses on helping the next generation of new entrepreneurs. The portfolio includes Pinduoduo (Nasdaq: PDD), Soul, Rokid, Roborock (Stock No: 688169), and more. He is also the co-founder of Match Edu., a non-profit organization founded in 2017 that is devoted to enabling teachers from rural regions of China. It has extended its reach to more than 7,000 schools nationwide, impacting over 60,000 rural teachers and principals, as well as exceeding 5 million students. Joe is also a member of the Fourth Class of the China Fellowship Program from the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He also serves on the M.E.T. Advisory Board of UC Berkeley. He is also a member of the Duke East Asia Regional Advisory Board. Joe graduated in 1994 from UC Berkeley and later earned his MBA from Duke University in 2004.
