In the spring of 2024, U-Corp will open four projects in public welfare, rural education, and creative consumption brands. The themes include county sustainable development curriculum design, application and exploration of artificial intelligence in county education, creative video production, and research on the market development of new consumption brands.
Led by the Innovation Lab (InLab) of Duke Kunshan University, we had a journey of exploration on Augmented Reality (AR) technology. This event unveiled the mystery of AR technology and was a hands-on experience to inspire creativity. The IWS event was held as scheduled on the afternoon of February 23, 2024, at Duke Kunshan University, attracting many curious participants about AR technology.
Startup Go Camp (SGC) is specially created for student entrepreneurs to start their own entrepreneurial projects from 0 to 1 through six weeks of learning and practice. This course will cover core areas such as basic knowledge of entrepreneurship, identifying start-up opportunities, defining product concepts, building a minimum viable product (MVP), business strategy, team management and finding financing.

Exploring the realms of bionics, engineering, industrial, and robotics has become an integral part of our daily lives. While creating robots from standardized parts is feasible, unleashing your creativity finds its best ally in 3D printing. The rapid growth of 3D printing technology has solidified its presence in the automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, medical, and consumer electronics industries. Mastering 3D printing and modeling isn’t just a hobby; it’s a professional skill that has evolved significantly.
Kaiyuan Lou is a student of Data Science at Kunshan Duke University (DKU), class of 2024. He founded the Search-So project intending to provide a convenient information retrieval tool for teachers and students at DKU. Initially, he was solely responsible for development under the guidance of Professor Jiang Long. Gradually, he attracted more and more like-minded partners to join the team. As the project proceeded, they further discovered that what they were trying to solve was not just a purely technical problem, but a “darkness under the lamp” problem that is commonly found in many organizations: how to adapt internal resource websites and shared service systems to meet specific needs of users, improve information retrieval efficiency, and plan layouts reasonably? Thus, the business prospects, extended value and potential of this student project gradually emerged.
At Duke Kunshan University, Tianyi Zhang is a 2024 master’s student in Medical Physics, who majored in Electronic Information Engineering as an undergraduate and participated in DJI product development. Meanwhile, Renzo Balcazar Tapia is a 2025 undergraduate student in Data Science who comes from Peru, with research interests in algorithms and has won numerous awards in International Mathematical Olympiads. On the journey of learning and life, they were originally two clearly demarcated parallel lines. However, the college innovation and entrepreneurship project “Research on Autonomous Localization and Navigation Technology Algorithm of Robot” has brought these two parallel lines together, embarking on a road of scientific research.
