[Recruiting] IE81 Vortex (a VR puzzling and escape room game)

Project Summary

Vortex is a VR puzzling and escape room game independently designed and developed by students. It talks about the topic of gender issues currently rising in society, aiming at showing the subtle, unobvious, however truly existing bias and unequal treatment females received, as well as the danger they face and the resultant emotion of fear through the way of gaming. The theme will be expressed by a clear and complete storyline, meanwhile combined with tricks and puzzles in every chapter, to attain the effect of educating while entertaining. This project uses Unity with C-sharp to build up the structure of the game and integrate VR technology into the game to enhance immersion.

Recruitment Information

Position: Modeler

1. Number of recruits: 2-3.

2. Recruitment Demand:

(1) Be familiar with modeling software like Maya/C4D, or others.
(2) Be able to do simple modeling tasks such as remodeling based on established models, constructing scenes using models, creating simple new models, etc.
(3) Interested in puzzling games.

3. Relevant specific responsibilities:

(1) Create models for puzzles according to the script, e.g., a small code box with certain buttons.
(2) Remodel based on established models, e.g., change the appearance based on an existing character model.
(3) Construct certain scenes using models.
