Project Summary
Shanghai Virtual Lilong is an interactive WeChat mini-program app for educating and promoting the preservation of Shanghai Shikumen houses and Lilong neighborhoods. With its fun and illustrated map, users can visualize Lilong neighborhoods in the early 20th century, locate the Lilong neighborhoods that remain today, hear stories from residents, and learn about how the architecture and housing have changed over time.
