[Recruiting] IE95 Research on Autonomous Localization and Navigation Technology Algorithm of Robot

Project Summary

This project aims to establish a fully automated robot motion algorithm that utilizes multiple sensors for data fusion, enabling the robot to perceive the surrounding environment and control its movement along a real-time planned path. Given the current situation where many students are interested in robotics mechanical design and software algorithms, but find it difficult to get started, the team will also attempt to establish the first robotics community at DKU through this project, providing a platform for students interested in robotics-related technologies to communicate and experience.

Recruitment Information

Position 1: Embedded Engineer

1. Number of Recruits: 3-4.
* Class of 2027 is also welcomed!

2. Recruitment Demand:
(1) Interested in robotics.
(2) Optional: Experience in robot competition.
(3) Optional: Experience in programming.

3. Relevant Specific Responsibility:
(1) Responsible for the communication between the upper and lower computers.
(2) Maintaining existing code
(3) Control of external devices such as gas cylinders, motors, etc.
(4) Skills of reception and preliminary processing of sensor data.

Position 2: Algorithm Engineer

1. Number of Recruits: 3-4.

2. Recruitment Demand:
(1) Programming experience.
(2) Interested in robotics.
(3) Interest in mathematical derivations and calculations.
(4) Robot competition experience would be better.

3. Relevant Specific Responsibility:
(1) Fusing data from gyroscopes, vision sensors or other sensors.
(2) Realization of robot perception, localization and mapping of the surrounding environment(SLAM).
(3) Realization of robot navigation and trajectory algorithms.
(4) Realization of forward and inverse kinematics solution for a multi-axis robotic arm.

Position 3: Copywriters

1. Number of Recruits: 1.
* Class of 2027 is also welcomed!

2. Recruitment Demand:
(1) Interested in robots or robotics.
(2) Basic writing skills.

3. Relevant Specific Responsibility:
(1) Providing written contributions to WeChat, posters on and off campus, etc.
(2) Design of slogans, keywords, and other text for robotics events.
(3) Participate in the writing of proposal, assessment report and final report of innovation and entrepreneurship program.

Position 4: Designer

1. Number of Recruits: 2.
* Class of 2027 is also welcomed!

2. Recruitment Demand:
(1) Interested in robots or robotics
(2) Basic design & art skills.
(3) Ability to use basic drawing and design tools.

3. Relevant Specific Responsibility:
(1) Design visual elements for the team.
(2) Layout and design of publicity materials.
(3) Other related graphic design and creative design.

Position 5: Finance

1. Number of Recruits: 1.
* Class of 2027 is also welcomed!

2. Recruitment Demand:
(1) Interested in robots or robotics
(2) Basic office software skill.
(3) Optional: Understanding of basic financial management skills.

3. Relevant Specific Responsibility:
(1) Team fund and material management.
(2) Layout and design of publicity materials.
(3) Attracting and managing off-campus investments.

Position 6: Publicists

1. Number of Recruits: 1.
* Class of 2027 is also welcomed!

2. Recruitment Demand:
(1) Interested in robots or robotics.
(2) Basic photography and video editing skills.
(3) Optional: WeChat official accounts and self-media operation ability.

3. Relevant Specific Responsibility:
(1) Shooting promotional photos and videos for team activities and competitions.
(2) Operate the team’s social media accounts.
(3) Responsible for the design and maintenance of the team’s external image.
