Dachuang 2024 Teams and Projects Announcement

The DKU Innovation Incubator is thrilled to announce the results of this year’s Dachuang project selection process. After a rigorous evaluation and review period, we have selected 33 outstanding projects that showcase the creativity, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial spirit of our students.

This year, the competition was especially fierce, with nearly 50 applications received from across various disciplines, including technology, health sciences, environmental sustainability, and social impact. Our panel of expert judges, comprising industry leaders, academic professionals, and successful entrepreneurs, faced the challenging task of narrowing down the field to the most promising and impactful projects.

Since 2015, the Ministry of Education of China has started the “Dachuang” training program, which aims to support university students to participate in scientific research, technology development, entrepreneurship simulation, entrepreneurial practice and other innovative and other innovative and entrepreneurial activities at an earlier stage; strengthen students’ innovative and entrepreneurial abilities, enhance the spirit of innovation, creative thinking, and entrepreneurial awareness. The program types include: Innovation Training Program (ITP), Entrepreneurship Training Program (ETP), and Entrepreneurship Practice Program (EPP). Projects are not limited to disciplines, but are innovative and exploratory, and have a high degree of feasibility and auditability of results.

The DKU iNNOVATION iNCUBATOR (Dii) operates and manages all projects, and Dii supports the academic guidances, project funding, and other resources needed for the projects.

These projects not only demonstrate the remarkable talent and creativity within DKU but also address some of the most pressing challenges facing our society today. We are proud to support these innovators as they develop their ideas into viable solutions that can make a real difference in the world.

The selected teams will receive comprehensive support from the DKU Innovation Incubator, including seed funding, mentorship, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and networking opportunities with industry experts and potential investors. Over the next year, these teams will work intensively to refine their prototypes, develop business models, and prepare for market entry.
