Junjie Liu is a luminary in the intersecting domains of educational technology and artificial intelligence, bringing over ten years of diverse international experience across China, the United States, and Europe. As the co-founder and CEO of Philosophie AI, he is at the forefront of transforming learning environments with innovative edtech solutions.
Throughout his storied career, which includes roles such as program manager and research scholar at Harvard University, China country manager for edX, and learning engagement lead at AXA Group, Mr. Liu has established himself as a vanguard in education. His extensive experience extends to serving as chief learning officer for various edtech firms and offering strategic consultation to over 30 edtech startups globally. Mr. Liu holds a master’s degree in technology, Innovation, and Education from Harvard University and an MBA degree from INSEAD. His expertise and vision have positioned him as a thought leader and a pivotal force in redefining educational paradigms through AI.

Prof. Fangsheng Zhu
Assistant Professor of Sociology
Fangsheng Zhu is a sociologist and studies education, particularly the interactions between families, education providers and governments. His research topics include parenting, school admissions and education policies. His teaching interests at Duke Kunshan include public policy, methods and education. Zhu holds a bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University, a master’s degree from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
