JourneyConnect is a travel-focused social app designed to connect students from Sino-foreign cooperative universities, addressing the challenges of finding reliable travel companions and curated travel recommendations. Targeting economically stable students with ample holidays, our platform integrates features from Fizz and Xiaohongshu to create a seamless experience, including travel-matching algorithms, interactive maps, and community-driven content. The app fosters cross-campus connections, leveraging the natural curiosity of students to explore peer institutions and shared destinations. Revenue streams include native advertising (hotels, travel agencies), performance-based commissions, and branded merchandise collaborations. Initial rollout focuses on Duke Kunshan University (DKU) and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), with plans to expand to other Eastern China universities.
