Legacy keeper

Vietnam’s traditional crafts are vital cultural legacies but face extinction due to economic pressures, weak policy protection, and generational gaps. This project will produce five short documentaries on endangered crafts from Hue, Hanoi, and Quang Nam, featuring artisans’ stories and creative processes. Distributed via social media and screening events in Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, and Binh Duong, the series targets Gen Z, millennials, and policymakers to raise awareness and encourage cultural preservation. By blending authentic storytelling with outreach efforts, the project aims to bridge tradition and modernity, ensuring these crafts are recognized, supported, and passed on.
