Ecologies for Wellness: How does Campus Environment Influence the Mental Health of University Students
Team Name: EcoMind
Our project examines how both the physical and digital campus environments affect student mental health. We investigate traditional environmental factors such as indoor temperature, water quality, noise levels, spatial layout, and architectural design. Additionally, we incorporate HCI perspectives to assess how digital interfaces and interactive technologies influence well-being. Using mixed methods-including surveys, interviews, environmental analysis, and HCI evaluations-we explore correlations with self-reported mental health indicators (e.g., anxiety, concentration, and social engagement). Our results will guide evidence-based improvements in campus planning, digital-system design, and policymaking to foster healthier academic communities and more intuitive, supportive technological environments.
