Country Garden Group has set up the intelligent bathroom project in recent years. It took only two years from the idea to the implementation; from the land acquisition to the trial production, the project’s first phase took less than nine months.
In 2017, Dr. Zhang Qi resolutely returned to China and joined the seed team of Country Garden’s “Future Leaders” project. More than 1,300 doctoral elites from all over the world are gathered. Its R&D team has overcome a series of production problems, including high-pressure grouting, one-stop drying, and the precise positioning of robots. So far, the industrial park has more than 50 patents registered and obtained.
Incubation of innovative bathroom projects, from zero to one, is a qualitative leap. The outside world has also questioned that molecular biology and sanitary ware are pretty different in their professional fields. How can practical breakthroughs be made? Dr. Qi Zhang is the COO of Subsidiary of Country Garden. After obtaining a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan, he turned brilliantly. He devoted himself to the industrial incubation of intelligent toilets while helping the traditional manufacturing industry upgrade to intelligent manufacturing. His rapid learning ability and the transformational power of integration have allowed him to go from Biologist to an Engineer then Corporate Operation Executive.
During his Ph.D., he devoted himself to studying the relationship between the biological clock and metabolism. His articles have been published in international journals such as Nature and Plos Biology and have been cited more than 500 times. After returning to China, he joined the Country Garden Group, and in response to the motherland’s call, he devoted himself to the incubation of the business manufacturing industry. He led the team, which took three years to incubate, covering an area of 1,000 mu, and built the intelligent toilet industrial park with an annual output value of 5 billion in three phases. He even stepped into the game, using his overseas background to transform the high-tech of overseas equipment, upgrading the manufacturing line of intelligent toilets from the bottom. Meanwhile, he obtained three appearance patents, four utility model patents, and one invention patent, based on Industry 4.0 standards, dramatically improving manufacturing efficiency and reducing costs. Furthermore, he created terrific and cheap products for customers, improving customers’ toilet experience and quality of life.
