We’re thrilled to launch the DKU Vibe Coding Workshop Series — a monthly hands-on program for you to explore creative AI applications by building shareable small projects in a collaborative space! Each one-day session features a unique theme, guiding you through a full learn-practice-build journey, and you’ll create and present your own project in the final demo session.
Mar 20 Session Theme: Bringing Mascots to Life with AI
No technical or coding background required — open to all disciplines! Turn your creative ideas into visual stories: from concept development and storytelling, to AI-generated images, music and short video composition. You’ll craft your exclusive AI mascot visuals and showcase your work by the end of the day.
What You Are Required to Deliver:
By the end of the workshop, each participant (or team) is expected to submit:
- One AI-generated mascot visual project (image, short video, or visual sequence)
- A shareable output (link, exported media file, or presentation slide)
- A 1-minute demo presentation during the final showcase session
Special Rewards:
- Best Project Award: 200 points
- Completion Reward: 100 base points for participants who finish and submit a project
- Winning teams will be invited to showcase their work at a future Vibe Coding Workshop session
- Accumulate 300 points to redeem AI tool membership rewards

Desal
Desal specializes in narrative-driven creative production using AI tools, guiding students through the complete pipeline from concept and character design to final video output. She has led multiple workshops on AIGC IP development, helping participants create 2D mascots, stickers, 3D assets, and promotional shorts. Her teaching integrates brand storytelling with hands-on technical skills across image generation, music composition, and video editing.
Active in educational innovation, she has organized numerous workshops bridging creative writing and digital production, served as a judge for science fiction competitions, and developed cross-disciplinary curricula that empower students to “bring their stories to life.” She is joined by co-instructor Cindy, a Bilibili creator with 115,000+ followers and 580,000+ views on AI-powered animation and dubbing projects.
