“Design Morphology” is a basic design subject based on “Morphology”. “Morphology” is both the subject of the study and the important connection to other disciplines. “Collaborative Innovation”, which coordinates different disciplines through “design thinking”, is an important innovative mode for future development. It opens up the mindset and breaks new grounds for interdisciplinary studies.

Song Qiu is a professor at the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University. He is also a Ph.D. supervisor, the director of the Department of Basic Courses, and a specialist in design innovation and branding strategy. He was the main designer of the 2008 Beijing Olympics podium. He is also the Chief expert on major projects of the National Social Science Fund, top ten educators in China’s industrial design, director of Beijing Industrial Design Promotion Association, director of Beijing Design Society, director of China Fashion Color Association, member of International Design Management Association, senior member of China Industrial Design Association, member of Sustainable Design Alliance and member of the review committee of China Tourism Commodities Competition.
