Details of This Session
Ever wondered how AI, hardware, and real-world physical systems actually come to life? Tired of coding and models confined to screens, and eager to build a smart system that can move, follow, and even carry a person?
inLab is now officially recruiting for our brand-new workshop! We invite you to build a rideable AI-powered smart vehicle from scratch, hands-on.
What You Will Gain
Not just a “standardized small car”—but your one-of-a-kind AI vehicle. 🚗
No Standard Chassis · Build Your Exclusive AI Ride
No pre-made standard chassis is used.
Transform everyday items (suitcases, campers, chairs, skateboards, etc.) into a fully rideable, testable AI-powered smart vehicle from the ground up. 🧠
Beyond Remote Control · Truly AI-Driven
Powered by on-phone AI vision, you will complete model training and design custom communication protocols. Realize gesture control, intelligent following, and basic autonomous driving—letting your vehicle truly see, think, and act ⚙️
Real Engineering · Real Safety · Real Payload
Experience the full real-world engineering workflow: ESP32 control, high/low voltage integration, safety mechanism design, load testing and real-vehicle validation.
Master the complete closed-loop intelligent system: Perception → Decision → Execution. From high-power wiring and safety systems to load testing and live demos, you will build a rideable smart machine from start to finish. This is NOT a lecture or demonstration experiment. You will solve real circuits, real errors, real risks, and real engineering problems.
Studio Phase (Course & Co-creation Stage): Jan 30–31, Feb 6–7, Mar 20
Final Showcase (Project Presentation): Mar 21
Venue: LIB 1131
