Do you know about the mysterious space at Duke Kunshan University? At there, you can ride the wings of your imagination, and turn your imagination into reality! We have built such place, DKU Innovation Lab, for you to easily break free from the constraints of limited thinking.
On March 26th (Sunday), DKU Innovation Lab will provide a 3D printing workshop for DKU community. In addition to on-campus workshop activities, this workshop also includes a visit to the 3D Printing Cultural Museum in China (Shanghai). There, you will not only have the opportunity to become familiar with 3D modeling, printing, and manufacturing, but also to delve into the history of 3D printing and the trend of revolutionary applications with various materials. We believe this will be a wonderful and fruitful journey!
The workshop will be held on March 26th (Sunday) from 11 AM to 6 PM on both the campus and Shanghai. Lunch will be provided for participants. In addition, the winner of the workshop design competition will receive corresponding prizes (the competition will be held during the workshop)!

China 3D Printing Cultural Museum
The 3D-Printing Cultural Museum is the first museum dedicated to the theme of additive manufacturing (3D printing) and three-dimensional culture. It was established in September 2016 and includes nine functional areas: permanent exhibition halls, themed exhibition halls, a 3D printing material library, a 3D printing research center, a creative gallery, an interactive exhibition hall, a video exhibition hall, a 3D aerial garden, and a 3D children’s activity center. The museum serves multiple functions, including historical and cultural education and cultural experience.
The museum houses a collection of innovative designs and applications of 3D printing technology in various fields. There is a wide variety of 3D printed products on display, such as metal artworks resembling the moon and lotus seats, made using metal 3D printing technology SLM (Selective Laser Melting); ultra-modern tea tables and lamps made using innovative 3D printing technology with nylon material; and fascinating Mobius loops created using 3D printing bonding technology.
