Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death around the world, and automated external defibrillator (AED) is a device that can save the lives of victims of sudden cardiac arrest. AED is life-saving, but can be hard to find. In China, there are limited installations of AED of which locations are often unknown. Our project, based in Kunshan, is a community improvement initiative that aims to address the problem of AED’s unavailability by pinpointing AED locations with Map Apps and tapping into local communities with #FindAnAED campaign.
