ContAInuum is building Atlas, an AI system that coordinates other AI models and the lab instruments they drive. In modern R&D, scientists hand-wire ML tools for every experiment: one model for design, another for simulation, another for instrument control, all glued together with manual code. Atlas replaces that glue with a trained orchestrator that generates the pipeline at runtime, handles failure recovery, and drives the hardware directly. One prompt, one result. Currently deployed across 6 labs at Duke and the University of Utah with more in conversation, targeting life sciences and advanced manufacturing as initial commercial verticals.
