Passion to Impact, Building Social Ventures from Campus presented by Vincent Liu (Duke ‘21) & Rex Zhang, who are both Enlight China Fellows of the Watson Institute for this year. In this event, they will share their past stories, tips for success in creating a venture with social impact, and personalized guidance on your ventures.
The talk will cover several key topics. First, Jiang will reflect on his journey of starting a business at the age of 20, sharing the lessons he learned along the way. Next, he will discuss strategies for surviving in the competitive landscape of large corporations, introducing the concepts of “latency and bandwidth” to help entrepreneurs balance technical choices with business strategies. Finally, he will explore future trends in AI, particularly how Large Language Models (LLMs) offer new avenues for innovation and entrepreneurship. This event will provide attendees with valuable industry insights and practical guidance for launching and growing a business.

With his rich personal experience and profound insights, Mr. Wang will share in-depth information on how to maintain a sense of responsibility and pragmatism in a complex and ever-changing environment, as well as how to persevere in the pursuit of goals and make continuous progress over time. Before the lecture, Mr. Wang will share how to properly prevent and manage sports injuries through an interactive workshop, which can help us ensure health and well-being while working out.
