Innovation Week brings together existing on-campus innovation resources over one week. This edition of the post (the “Dii” edition) covers events run by Dii.

About Dii (DKU Innovation Incubator)

Dii is the campus incubator supporting DKU students’ innovation and entrepreneurship projects. It recruits new teams every year, open to all students.

Support for two years: seed funding, professional mentoring, equipment and space.
Training: a one-year systematic program covering user insights, marketing and brand building.

Event Timeline

April 11–12 | DKU 48-Hour Hackathon

Time	April 11, 10:30 – April 12, 18:00
Location	Performance Cafe & Visitor Center
Participants	Interdisciplinary youth teams (limited seats)
Partner	ED Healer
Summary	Youth mental health hackathon (“Innovation for Wellbeing”), co-hosted by DKU and ED Healer, focused on mental health among people aged 18–25. Teams develop a workable technology prototype within 48 hours.

April 13 | Documentary Screening: Crafted Legacy

Time	18:00 – 20:00

Note	Free food provided; registration required
Summary	A look inside the craft villages of Hue, Vietnam, featuring rice paper makers, paper flower artists, incense makers and other heritage artisans. The film explores how centuries-old traditions meet tourism, technology and the modern market.

April 14 | Dii Green Mission Board Game Workshop

Time	18:30 – 20:00
Location	LIB 1111
Hosts	Biying Wang and Xintong Sun (student founders, Class of 2026, DKU)
Summary	An interactive workshop exploring sustainability through a custom board game. Participants face real-world environmental challenges, make strategic decisions and collaborate with peers.

April 15 | Dii Startup Fair

Time	11:30 – 13:30
Location	Cafeteria Lawn
Participants	Dii teams: RADICAL, CHI, JourneyConnect, PPM (Parts Per Million), For Seasons
Summary	A marketplace-style showcase where each Dii team sets up a booth, demonstrates its product or prototype, and runs interactive experiences or user tests to collect feedback, validate ideas and raise campus visibility.
