Food Safety and Nutritional Study of Left-behind Children
Synear Food Co., Ltd., a prominent national leader in the frozen food industry, demonstrates a genuine commitment to public welfare. Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, Synear partnered with DKU to undertake an investigation into food safety and the nutritional well-being of left-behind children in rural areas of China. Their joint effort led to a comprehensive analysis of fieldwork data, accompanied by insightful recommendations for future policies and product enhancements. The collaborative effort involved four dedicated volunteers from DKU, who meticulously conducted both desk research and on-site visits to Qianshan, Anhui. The team identified key factors contributing to the food safety and nutrition challenges in rural areas, highlighting the scarcity of chain minimarts with reliable food quality and the limited food choices due to lower income levels. Their immersive approach in rural environments showcased not only their professional dedication but also their compassionate commitment to advancing health and promoting equality.
