Ping Wang
Ping Wang is a seasoned venture capitalist with over 15 years of experience in global high-tech investment. As Partner and Director at GoldX and KIP Fund, he oversees nearly 50 funds totaling $3 billion USD, including five China-based funds managing approximately 300 million RMB. He also serves as Director of Chengdu High-Tech Investment and a reviewer for government-guided funds under the Ministry of Science and Technology and municipal governments in Shanghai and Chengdu.
Since 2006, he has evaluated over 100,000 projects and led several portfolio companies to IPOs on the NYSE, Nasdaq, and HKEX. His notable investments include Weimob, Ambiq Micro, Crossbar, and HappyEasyGo. In his professional journey, Mr. Wang embarked on entrepreneurship in 2000, securing RMB 2 million in financing to enter the enterprise software industry, growing the business from scratch to an annual revenue of several million. In 2006, he transitioned into venture capital, becoming a partner in USD funds, and has since accumulated over a decade of experience. As a seasoned investor, he evaluates more than 1,000 projects annually, with a cumulative review of over 100,000 projects. Mr. Wang’s investment achievements are remarkable, with four of his portfolio companies successfully going public in overseas capital markets—two listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), one on Nasdaq, and one on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).
